Our company specializes in three types of fabric: Pongee, Black vinyl cloth, Silver vinyl cloth. PG has a matte finish and a cotton-like feel. It offers excellent light-blocking properties, water resistence, consistent quality, and advanced color. It is good quality and generally used only in high-end umbrellas. It is uesd to make rain umbrellas. And black vinyl cloth and silber vinyl cloth are used to make sun umbrellas.

Professional sun umbrellas have special sun-blocking coatings applied to the inner or outer layers of the umbrella. The most common are silver vinyl and black vinyl cloth. Silver vinyl cloth uses reflective properties of silver to reflect most of UV rays. This coating technology is mature, affordable, and provides excellent protection. Black vinyl cloth absorbs most of UV rays and converts them into heat, like a black hole. Its effect is equivalent to silver vinyl, while also providing effective insulation, keeping you cooler under the umbrella.

It uses polyester and cotton yarn blended or interwoven into a fabric. Textile staple fibers or filaments are oriented or randomly braced to form a fiber network structure, and then reinforced by mechanical, thermal bonding or chemical methods. It combines the advantages of nylon and cotton yarns: softer texture, lightweight fabric and good elasticity. When used as umbrella fabric, it has a matte color, good light-blocking property, and is soft and smooth. Rainwater slides off naturally when it drips on the umbrella surface, because it is high density.

Black coating fabric has become one of the most common materials for modern sun umbrellas, because it delivers strong UV protection without compromising comfort. The fabric uses a dense polyester or pongee base and applies a matte black coating on the underside. This coating absorbs UV rays instead of reflecting them, which helps reduce glare and keeps the shaded area visually comfortable. When customers hold an umbrella with black coating fabric, they often feel cooler because the material blocks a high percentage of UVA and UVB rays while also reducing the heat that passes through.

Silver coating fabric is widely used in sun umbrellas because it reflects sunlight effectively and provides strong visible-light shading. The fabric features a high-density polyester or pongee base covered with a bright metallic silver coating. This coating reflects a significant portion of incoming UV rays, helping reduce surface heat and creating a cooler environment beneath the canopy. When customers step under an umbrella made with silver coating fabric, they often notice instant relief from both heat and glare, making it a popular choice for outdoor events, daily commuting, and travel.
